The opener on Friday. The hardest job at a festival like this. All the more reason for us to respect this young artist and his band. Yes, you read that right, the Hatter has been travelling with a band for a few months now. The purely electronic nature of his studio recordings has been congenially transferred to the organic body of sound of a combo made up of people of flesh and blood. The NANOFISH DIPPERS from Berlin – twenty years of reggae and ska, Berlin style! From Neukölln to London and from Tempelhofer Feld to the Black Sea, sometimes with a fish mask and sometimes without – always on behalf of the nanofish.

From the outside, I do classic singer-songwriter stuff. Some would say German-language storyteller music. That’s probably the truth.
Me, my guitar, a few sound gimmicks, a little rhythm and lots of weird ideas. I tell stories about my life and the lives of the many people I have met and accompanied. I sing about different paths to happiness, about getting lost in the dark, about resurrection and passing away. Of the cycle of being.

Niesamowita Sprawa began a few years ago as a spontaneous street duo in Poznan, performing Iskra’s original songs at markets and promenades. The unexpected success with random passers-by quickly led to performances in pubs and local festivals. Motivated by this response, the line-up gradually developed into a quintet with double bass, acoustic guitar, mandolin, violin and drums. Their live performances are a shared experience where the audience shapes the concert.
The repetitiveness of krautrock, without the weirdness, but with the deeper riffs of stoner rock and the hooks of hard rock. On top of that, there are instrumental passages that sometimes push the songs over the 8-minute mark. This correlates well with the name of the combo, which is definitely one of the top 3 in the “length” category that have played concerts here. The quartet from Leipzig, who have been playing together for a good four years, have collected more reference points than an average record collection usually has to offer. This will be exciting.
ANEMJA, founded in the 2000s, combines rock, punk and metal to create a powerful sound. With intense guitar riffs and strong vocals, their songs address inner conflicts and social challenges. Several albums and singles have earned ANEMJA positive reviews. Their energetic live performances are known for their intensity. Through regular appearances and collaborations, the band has established a firm place in the Polish music scene and built up a loyal fan base.
Genre: Progressive Hardcore
From the east of Berlin. Whether there are biographical references to individual members in the name is unfortunately not known. They play Berlin corner pub punk rock in the bad-tempered version, often with equally bad-tempered vocals. The keyboard is untypical of the genre, sometimes contributing sympathetic embellishments in the form of individual dabs, but also serving as a melody carrier and guitar solo substitute with flat sounds. In the choruses, often with a fat guitar and cozy dark choirs, we have a real punk wonder bag as a guest.
